Writing what I write in the hottest day of year. Luckily I lost a little flesh during the summer, I am such an unsweatable man and, as a penance, I repainted my advertising boards in three days under the beloved London sun. The sense of guilty has gone completely when I used touches of green and I wrote : 'wellness bakery'. No crime and transgression can be actually named in my case, but after my birthday I entered the second phase of my existence. The media system may be rigged, yet bad news comes aplenty and in perpetuity : child obesity , war on sugar, new cancerogenic foods, the risk of farmed fish, the danger in canned tomatoes, the hazard of eating salmon, the mortality of salami.
Since reading postmodern novels, I felt the vacuity of contemporary living and the absenteeism of a vision. Just being a human without morality is not in my background,it doesn't belong to me. Something ethical must be in my blood. I need order, planning, certainty and a long term vision. Mum, I just don't want to burn in the jaws of hell ! The moral and social aspects of eating have been for long term neglected, shattered by the greatest crime of 'living for now' attitude : haste. We eat in a hurry, no time for cooking, not posing our eyes on labels. Humans are getting bigger, bigger, bigger.... In this second phase of my life I decided to embark in a sugar-free ride to a journey into my stomach, to contribute ,as the last romantic chevalier errant, to defeat the three evils of western civilisation : diabetes, obesity and cancer. Attentive analysis has brought my brain to discover the three main benefits of moral eating ( as healthy as you can bite ) : - the chemistry one ( more nutrient-rich foods, lower risk of diseases) - the aesthetics one ( looking good through better skincare, thick hair and slender limbs) as a consequence of the previous one - the social one ( lower costs of welfare and healthcare due to improved fitness and better nutrition ) - the environmental one ( reduction in over-consumption therefore less waste, less pollution, lowering the consume of soil ). We got the technology now, so humans cannot fail. Superfoods and 3D printing will totally revolutionise our society liberating our everyday life by the constriction of time. Less time for our chore tasks, stretching spells for expressing ourselves and unleashing what make us truly humans: creativity. P.S. I am starting to work on ketogenic cakes and super healthy savoury food stuff via innovative rice paper rolls. Placet experiri . I'll keep you updated.
